Mrs. Begley's 2007 ANNUAL ART CHALK WALK was a huge success.  With a "Dragon" theme, many of our students used a wide variety of chalk colors to create some amazing images.  Here are some of our future Picassos...

                                             ART

My love of Art stems from my parents.  My mom is an artist and my dad was a mechanical draftsman for the Navy and for private industry.  I was born in Chicago, Illinois and then moved to Glendora, California where my dad was invited to work at Aerojet and draw some of the plans of one of the Apollo Moon Missions.  I have attended UCLA, UCI and CSUSB and received my BA in Art-Ceramics/Glass from CSUSB and also my teaching credential.  I have my GATE credential and am involved with the California Arts Project as a Teacher/Leader.  This is my 10th year at Jehue Middle School and I am active in the Visual and Performing Arts Curriculum Committee for RUSD.  My love of Art and how to create it is what I want to instill in my students.  There is so much out in the art world for students to understand and they will be introduced to many new cultures and artists in their semester tour of my art program.

               JACKIE JOHNSON
                               TECHNOLOGY LAB

Hello, and welcome to 8th Grade Technology/Video Productions at Jehue. I’ve been teaching at Jehue since 1998 and knew that it would be a challenge to pull the lab together and offer the most challenging course of study. Video Productions class is responsible for producing student-oriented video presentations that are broadcast daily throughout the school campus, which includes school announcements, world news, and a variety of educational facts and information. The Technology class is the news crew that searches the Internet and reference material for news and information that is presented on the daily broadcast. Emphasis is placed on goal setting and professionalism. I look forward to working with you and having a great year!

                        ED SCHRIER
                                     COMPUTERS

Hi, I am Ed Schrier, a 6th and 7th grade technology teacher at Jehue.  This is my 25th year in education and my second year at Jehue.  I was raised and educated in the metropolis of New York, taught Industrial Arts for ten years in the orange groves of Florida, and have been living in California for 15 years.  I spend most of my leisure time with my three precious sons, ages 6, 6, and 15.  I also like mountain biking, woodworking, camping, traveling, and surfing the net in my spare time.  My main goal as an educator is to be an effective and affective teacher in my quest to assist students to become life-long learners.  It is my belief that a teacher can supply a student with a wealth of information, or better yet, expand their horizons by teaching them how to use various tools, resources, and techniques to seek out that information for themselves.  I truly enjoy working with the students and staff  in Jaguar Country and I hope you do, too.
