Eisenhower High School football player, Michael Hawkins, was named Male Athlete of the Week in the San Bernardino Sun newspaper. In the Tuesday, October 10, 2000, edition of The Sun, Hawkins was celebrated for his outstanding performance in the victory against Norco last Friday night.
As mentioned in the article, Coach Tom Hoak regards Hawkins as being worthy of receiving Most Valuable Player in the CIF. Hawkins has already caught 22 passes for 445 yards this season and has scored 10 TDs.
