Eisenhower High School girls' basketball player, Laura Dinkins, was named Female Athlete of the Week in the San Bernardino Sun newspaper. In the Tuesday, December 10, 2002, edition of The Sun, Dinkins was celebrated for scoring 78 points in four games and 58 rebounds.
As mentioned in the article, Laura did not begin playing until eighth grade. In addition, she has received a scholarship to Northern Arizona.
