The San Bernardino Sun recently named the coaches and athletes of the year for the recently concluded 2002-03 season. Eisenhower High School is proud to announce both a coach and a player are from Ike.
After 11 years of coaching, 8 Citrus Belt League titles, and a CIF Division I-AA basketball championship, Coach Steve Johnson has been named the S.B. Sun male Coach of the Year.
Already having been named a two-time all-Citrus Belt selection, a two-time all-CIF selection, and the CBL and S.B. Sun player of the year in 2001-02 and co-CBL player of the year in 2002-03, Jasmine Clarendon capped her four years at Eisenhower by being named the S.B. Sun female prep Athlete of the Year.

In the past, 3 Ike coaches have also received this honor. Tom Hoak in 1991, Sheryll Hite in 1992, and Jane Roberts in 1998. Eisenhower has had one previous male prep athlete of the year-Demond Thompkins in 1991. Clarendon is the first female prep athlete of the year for Ike.
