Eisenhower High School sent two students, a teacher, and a janitor to Washington recently, to receive the Earth Apple Award. Students in the Virtual Hi-Tech Program received the award from the Alliance to Save Energy for their Green Schools energy-savings project.
The project trimmed $18,000 from EHS' electrical costs and $2,000 in gas from September 2001 - February 2002.
