Two Eisenhower Eagles were recently inducted into the Rialto Sports Hall of Fame. On Saturday, November 15, Tom Hoak and Jeff Conine were the honorees at the Johnson Center.
Tom Hoak, who retired in June of this year, was recognized for his outstanding coaching career here at Ike. Hoak's 19-years of coaching football include six CBL titles, a '93 team that was ranked second in the nation, and a CIF-SS title. Jeff Conine, class of '84, was recognized for his 17-year professional baseball career. Conine won two World Series championships while he played with the Florida Marlins.
Other Eagles in the Hall include professional golfer Brandie Burton, speed skater and Olympic gold medalist Derek Parra, and the late David Lang who was a running back with the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys.
