On December 17, 2008, the cadets of Eisenhower High School's MCJROTC gathered together to say good-bye to Colonel Polyascko who is retiring at the end of this semester. Cadets brought presents to honor his career as a military officer and as a teacher here at Ike.
Some of the cadets, who were in welding this semester, created the iconic Marine eagle, globe, and anchor emblem.
The Colonel was also presented with a plaque by the cadets and another by his long-time co-instructor, Sgt. Major Walls.
